BetaNews | Microsoft to Drop PDF Support in Office

"Amid threats of a lawsuit from Adobe, Microsoft acknowledged Friday that it would remove support for saving files in PDF from Office 2007, as well as dropping its own rival format XPS from the productivity suite and Windows Vista."

I was really looking forward to this feature in Office 2007. Damn Adobe, when will they learn no one wants to use their shitty software anymore! I guess that is why they threatened Microsoft. It would have finally been nice to create .doc files into .pdf. Oh well I guess that is how the market works. You have a prominent file format become popular, but isn?t supported by it?s own creator. I was looking forward to archiving all my school work. Plus Adobe Acrobat Reader is the major sux nowadays! I believe it takes at least 15 minutes to load in my browser; it would have been nice to have something a little more native to Windows to support reading .pdfs.
Maybe Google will come up with something?
