Peppermint Pattie?
April and I were decorating the Christmas tree and watching It's Christmastime Again, Charlie Brown.
I started to wonder why the hell does Marcie call Peppermint Pattie Sir, all the time?

What is it about Christmas that I get all sentimental? I don't know what it is? I mean each year Christmas becomes more important to me. I wish I could meet the expectations loved ones place upon Christmas. I think that I always fall short by making sure everyone has a good Christmas, and in the end to those that it means the most I fall short, fail. I wish I could give to everyone who I would want to, the amount I feel I could. Or to what I give, that it is understood on the same level. Christmas is such a great time. All those stories and ideals that are expressed in movies/cartoons. Those ideals are real and really hit home. Decorating the Christmas tree, hanging lights, building wish lists, making cookies, and watching a Charlie Brown Christmas.
I wish everyone of the world, that one of their dreams are fulfilled during the Christmas season.

I think I found an answer to your Sir-question. I guess Marcie calls Peppermint Patty Sir because of her failing eyesight. That's why she's wearing glasses. But it could also be that Peppermint Patty is a little bit older than Marcie and she wants to show respect. But IMO it's the first one.
