PepsiMan » Blog Archive » Web Browse

"I didn?t think we?d ever get a web browser running in DSLinux, but I was proved wrong when phestar compiled retawq for DSLinux.

DSLinux has beaten Nintendo/Opera by releasing the first web browser for the DS.
"

I need to get homebrew capabilities for my DS so I can check this out!
Text based only though :( But I could check my e-mail on my DS.

Tweedy, Jayhawks Members Prep New Golden Smog LP

It would be cool to see Golden Smog play again!
Not that I've ever really heard much of their music.
Its a superstar Alt-Country band!
New Soul Asylum record as well!

Early Beck Tracks Surface on Soundtrack Reissue

"Now it's time to return to the days when Beck Hansen was just another scruffy kid with a beat-up acoustic guitar, a sampler, and a dream. On March 21, Plexifilm will issue the movie Kill the Moonlight (hey, haven't we heard that title before?) on DVD. The 1994 independent feature tells the tale of a fish hatchery worker with ambitions of becoming a racecar driver."

"I'm a driver, I'm a winner, things are gonna change, I can feel it,"

I'll have to check this when it come out.
One of my all time phrases from any song from the 90's!

Seems that Yahoo just launched a new layout for their main page.
A lot better then the older layout so far!

Now we need an updated layout for Yahoo Mail!

Directors Label

"The Directors Label is a series of DVDs devoted to notable music video directors. First released in 2003 by Palm Pictures, the series was created by Spike Jonze, Chris Cunningham, and Michel Gondry, the subjects of the first three volumes. Four new volumes were released in 2005, this time featuring Mark Romanek, Jonathan Glazer, Anton Corbijn and Stephane Sednaoui. Hammer & Tongs (director/producer duo Garth Jennings and Nick Goldsmith) has been rumored to be included in the next wave of releases, and David Fincher refused the offer to release his own Directors Label volume."
From wikipedia.org article, since Directors Label website has no info, and is a crappy flash site!

I can see myself getting into collecting music videos from the 90's more and more. A dieing art form that never really got its chance to fully shine.

Measuring cutting board

"While flexible cutting boards aren't much of a novelty these days, here's one from Japan that you can use to measure your food as well. Use it to cut up ingredients into equal-sized bits (essential for even cooking results), or to make sure your cake or pie portions are identical in size. No more arguing over who got the bigger slice. I love the little reminder they've printed on it as well: "Please divide equally and eat happily!""

I love cool kitchen gadgets. I wish I had a bigger kitchen and more money so I could obtain all the cool kitchen gadgets I want. Why doesn't any other room in the home have such cool gadgets?

Two Decades of Zelda from 1UP.com

It's been twenty years since gamers first set foot in the land of Hyrule and wandered into a dark cave where an old man gave them a wooden sword and set them on the path to defeating an evil pig-beast named Ganon. And many of us know too the story behind the game: creator Shigeru Miyamoto loved to explore in the hills behind his home, found some caves, made a videogame about it, became fabulously wealthy, etc. We've heard it; it's old news. The end.

Yahoo! User Interface Blog

This blog is the companion blog for two libraries we?re proudly releasing today. The new Yahoo! Design Pattern Library offers our thinking on common interface design issues for traditional and rich Internet applications. The new Yahoo! User Interface Library is a collection of industrial-grade JavaScript utilities and widgets that enable you to efficiently get the most out of today?s powerful browsers. In both cases, these are the exact same things that power Yahoo! today.

Interesting?
Maybe I will get a chance to play with these and design something.
