New Poll Finds That Young Americans Are Leaning Left - New York Times

ll offers a snapshot of a group whose energy and idealism have always been as alluring to politicians as its scattered focus and shifting interests have been frustrating. It found that substantially more Americans ages 17 to 29 than four years ago are paying attention to the presidential race. But they appeared to be really familiar with only two of the candidates, Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton, both Democrats.

Well duh.. Younger people are here to listen and vote. All candidates have to understand that we are here, and are the next great generation for America. So listen, and learn, and maybe a candidate could be elected that could get something done. Not progress and perpetuate American Politics, into more tax breaks, and half moral legislations.

Sustainable is Good : Every Man Jack Redefining Men's Grooming Products

Michael Rutchik of Mudhaus was placed in charge of the graphic design of all Every Man Jack packaging. Rutchik created the identity for Method and was the perfect person for the job. Viola wanted something that was ?clean, modern and had a splash of color.? He was inspired by several ?really cool modern barbershops,? and got the idea of employing a wood grain from these classic masculine interiors. Rutchik incorporated the idea into an identity for the brand.

I have seen the Every Man Jack grooming products at Target for a few weeks now. I am a faithful user of Neutrogena For Men, and have used it for at least the past 3 years or so. I was really disappointed when they changed the package design from clean white and blue bottles to the gross looking sparkle gray and blue bottles. Also I have found that it is starting to become harder and hard to find some of the main components of the Neutrogena For Men line. One item that I dearly miss finding in my area is the Neutrogena For Men Shave Cream. Anyways back to my intended post. I finally picked up one of the Every Man Jack products. I'm not to sold on the name, but found the design of the packaging interesting. I greatly admire the new package designs I keep seeing on store shelves. One example being the Method line. These products become apart of your decor of your inhabitants instead of being just another product on your counter top. I'm not totally digging the design of Every Man Jack, but find it an interesting step in the correct direction, especially for men products, which are usually left in the dark. I mean the Gillette bottles and to an extent Old Spice Sport ads have got to go. Zappy lines, car paint primary colors, and moving at the speed of light graphics have got to go.

Anyways I'm going to give the Ever Man Jack Face Lotion a whirl and see how it is.

Nintendo closes in on Sony in market value

TOKYO, June 20 (Reuters) - Nintendo Co. Ltd. shot past Panasonic maker Matsushita in market value on Wednesday and closed in on Sony Corp. as investors watched it unseat Sony as unrivalled king of the game industry.

Nintendo's Wii has been outselling Sony's PlayStation 3 game console 3-1 in Japan and more than 2-1 in the United States so far this year, according to game magazine publisher Enterbrain and research firm NPD.

Go Nintendo. I should have purchased some Nintendo stock about a year and half ago, as I wanted too. Oh well way to go Nintendo.

www.kansascity.com | 06/18/2007 | Appraisal seals the fate of Indian Springs

The 36-year-old Indian Springs mall is poised to meet the wrecking ball.
On Monday, three court-appointed appraisers paved the way for Wyandotte County?s Unified Government to acquire the shopping center when they issued a report valuing it at $7.5 million. Appraisers also set the value of surrounding properties at $1.5 million.

Why? I can't believe the Unified Government is doing something constructive. My only question is what successful item could ever be put down in this area? You would have to drive up all the property value around this area, to move people out. If you do that you are only going to move them closer to Village West, because they can't go back downtown because, that area of the city has been taken over by many immigrant and ethnic groups.

So why build something new if it is going to waste away, and self destructed by the very people that use the area? I can't say much more, without being raciest or whichever, so I guess I will stop here.

What WY Unified Government should be working on right now, is a business district. What a great area for a business district at the intersection of 6-35 and I-70. Either make one out by Village West, or put one down at the Indian Springs site. Also start focusing on places to live for younger people, who may want to be able to use such a business district if one was ever made. Stop building these crap homes out in Piper, and get some substantial affordable homes, in communities younger people would like to live in.

Unified Government has much bigger problems than trying to tackle another retail development. Lets get a move on making WY a better place to live, for those who live there!

Retro: NES Finally Gets Flash Cart - Kotaku

Years, decades later, we finally get a NES flash cartridge. It's called the PowerPak. That's a picture of it. Looks kind nice. Players copy their games on a flash card and insert it into the PowerPak. Here's a rundown:

Very nice, a storage device for the NES to play ROMS. Not that it is legal or anything to do so, and the PowerPak is pretty expensive at $135.

Goth

I have come to a realization. That gothiness is found on false hopes. If you where "Goth" you would wear white instead of black. White is the reflection of color, and black is the absorption of all color. So being "Goth" you are the most colorful person, not the opposite.!

"To be void, empty and refute the norm, one must be all white, because white is emptiness, white is purity, and being a certain recluse such as goth, one must asphyxiate on white, not black because black absorbs and accepts any colors and vibrancy into a deep realm that can only be understood by not seeing, but acknowledging that all is present, and goth people like their emptiness, like the void, void is white not black, so stop ruining my beatnik wardrobe."
