JOHN DVORAK'S SECOND OPINION How Adobe can stop Microsoft Commentary: Attack with a Linux initiative

Adobe could port its Creative Suite, which includes Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design and other subsystems, to Linux as a shot across Redmond's bow. Then the company should embrace Linux in-house and develop a complete, optimized Linux OS designed to run a high-performance version of its Creative Suite on Linux optimized for Adobe products, to be sold as a bootable bundle for multicore-workstation hardware.

Are you joking? Adobe port their prized jumbled mess of a suite to Linux? Adobe products have been optimized to run on Windows for years now.(source needed, but it really seems that away) They can't even get it right in OS X, why in the hell would they port to Linux, an open source dominated platform? Everyone that runs a Linux box either writes their own programs or runs programs written by a community and contribute by either adding to that code, or providing feedback. Why would a group of people that like to tinker with their OS and programs would want to invite a closed source based program to their arena? Yes it would make productivity as a business standpoint that much more lucrative, but Linux doesn't have any other such app, that I'm aware of that is closed source and widely accepted and distributed with Linux. I understand that the article claims that Adobe should write and package their own Linux distro, but doesn't this go against what Adobe believes about software, and what the Linux crowd believes about software?
If Adobe wanted to take on Microsoft, and why it is even a battle? They should focus their efforts on Apple. Get Adobe running in OS X well, and with all the hype of Apple and their products, it seems as it would be a win win situation. I've noticed that Adobe has dumped on the Apple camp as of lately, and not sure why, since Apple based system is what got Adobe to where they are now.

10 Reasons To Stay Loyal To Nintendo | GamesRadar

10 Reasons To Stay Loyal To Nintendo | GamesRadar: "How do you feel about Nintendo at the moment? Probably not too great, we'll wager. It's okay. We understand. All of us who witnessed that now legendary E3 press conference share a pain which bonds us as brothers for life."

My self I can't wait to play the new Animal Crossing, and a full fledge Zelda game made for the Wii.  Wiiware Nintendo games would be great to, SNES style Mario and Zelda would be great!

Blanc Burgers & Bottles -- Kansas City, MO (Westport)

Blanc Burgers & Bottles a gourmet burger joint in Wesport, that just opened last Spring is an excellent place to go for a good burger.  Great food, Clean interior, with cool decor (I really like the wallpaper in the batheroom) and long beer list.
What else could you ask for?  Well if your looking for a excellent tasting burger, drive right past the yuppies at Power & Lame District and head right on over to the tried and true Wesport area of the city.

What is on the menu?  Burgers, in various forms Beef, Pork, Fish, and Veggie.
I myself had the AU POIVRE Pepper-crusted burger, watercress, creamy green peppercorn sauce, grilled onions, salt + pepper brioche bun. and April had the CLASSIC aged NY white cheddar, tomato, homemade pickles, red onio made-from-scratch ketchup + mustard, sesame brioche bun.

Overall this place was a good experience.  Great friendly staff that is very proud of what is served at the restaurant. I've never had a waiter go over my menu for me at a burger joint.  The explanations were informative, and allowed me to narrow down my choice.  My only complaint would be the prices of beverages and the fact that most come bottles, even your every day Diet Coke.  So a single beverage purchase of $2.00+ for a single 8oz. beverage is a little much. I can understand for the specialty pops but not for everyday pops.  Also beer prices a tad high.  $4+ plus for a Boulevard, a tad much for my taste, I mean the stuff is just made down the street, and Boulevard is usually a tad cheaper at non franchise type of places.  I mean in L-Town you can grab a Boulevard for 2.50-3.50 from place to place.
But back to the good news, I highly recommend this place, the condiments served with the meal are worth the drive over to Westport, I'm serious, they are made in house!
Great job, nice atmosphere, minimalist with some mod style furniture, my kind of place.
Look forward to visiting again.
Check out what April thought of the place.
