What Do You Need to Know?

Before one can make any money from YouTube, they first need a successful YouTube channel. The possibilities on what can be considered successful are unlimited. There are channels showing kids unboxing toys, makeup tutorials, food challenges and more. Once you find your target audience you can determine what type of channel you can create.

Account Setup

The first thing that a person needs to do before starting to earn money from YouTube is to set up an AdSense account. AdSense is a tool that allows ads to be displayed alongside your content. There is also the suggestion to become a YouTube Partner although this is not a requirement it is strongly suggested. Becoming a YouTube Partner provides one with additional features and gives you access to more tools and multiple income streams outside of ads.

Requirements

Each feature has a separate set of guidelines and eligibility requirements that must be met. For most of the features a person must have a certain number of subscribers and some features are not available in all countries. All features have an age requirement of 18 years of age or older. If a person is under the age of 18 then their account must be linked to an Approved AdSense account of a parent or guardian.
